Years ago, I heard a great piece of carnival wisdom: don’t get on a ride with more than a couple burned out lights.
The theory goes that if the operators won’t do something as simple as screw in a light bulb, they probably aren’t doing preventative maintenance or making sure every bolt is tight either. Safety is secondary.
